4 Days Overdue

By: Steph | Tags: , , ,

All I can tell you today is that we’ll definitely have baby news by the weekend! I went in this morning and there is still no progress… this baby is being very stubborn. We went ahead and scheduled an induction this week; Wednesday night they will give me something to start the progression and hopefully by Thursday morning they will be able to begin the actual induction. I’m a little nervous about everthing, especially since I was really hoping not to be induced, but at this point I fear for my own sanity :) And who knows- the baby still has 48 hours to get things started naturally!

I also decided that today was my last day of work until September. After struggling all weekend with the decision, I figure a couple days off before the baby comes isn’t such a bad idea… and my mom’s encouragement helped a little, too! Josh is worried that I’ll go stir crazy at home all day long- hopefully I can just let myself relax.

And the baby poll is down to 4 people at this point- Dad and Allie, I’m hoping for tomorrow but Bjorn, Sveta and Tom have some pretty good chances! Maybe he/she is holding out for the 15th so no one wins-

Okay my dear – you send Josh out to get about four of your all time favorite movies complete with your favorite ice creams and
make it a “Movie Day” – stay in your pj’s – enjoy the flicks and have a ball!!! Love, me :-)

Steph — I can empathize with you and my heart goes out to you! I too wanted to avoid an induction, but in the end it was a really great, NEEDED thing! I had a wonderful experience and I hope if you need it you do too! I’m also glad to hear you’re taking some days off of work. I really don’t think you’ll regret that decision and it will help get you rested up — take lots of naps! :) Keeping you lifted high in our prayers and anxiously awaiting the baby news. All our love!!
