Lauren is getting bigger and smarter every day! She is now tired of baby food and only wants to feed herself… which makes eating times a lot longer and much more messy. She’s also got a couple more teeth on top although I’m not sure how much she actually chews her food. Her new thing is to grind her teeth together (which is hard to listen to) and clicking her tongue.
She hasn’t started crawling yet, but she scoots on her bum and likes to stand and play with her activity center. We think she likes falling backward into the pillows the most so we are constantly pulling her back up. Just this week, Lauren has started trying to pull herself up on anything near her so it’s definitely time to start securing furniture down. We’re excited for her to start moving around, but she will be harder to keep an eye on!
Josh and I went to Las Vegas almost 2 weeks ago and although it was a lot of fun, we sure missed our girl. We saw Cirque de Soleil “O” and Spamalot, which were great shows. Josh tried his luck at the craps table but I just stuck to the penny slots. I stayed a couple of days longer for a training seminar for work and that’s when the homesickness was the worst! But Lauren had a great time with Grandma Mary, Grandpa Nick and the whole ND crew- she even stayed up late and cheered on the Spoilers through triple overtime, to a state hockey championship, dancing with the pep band all night!

Lauren, Grandpa and I just were saying how much we missed you and here are darling new pictures of you! That smile . . . those eyes of yours! Too adorable!! Looks like you love to feed yourself now . . . must have been all that good ND food we fed you! And do your mommy and daddy know that “So big” is really “Go, Spoilers!”?
We had SO MUCH FUN with you . . . Nana Jo and Opa Rob are going to love having you there with them . . . you’re the BEST
entertainment around! Love and miss you, Grandma Mary
Lauren- We just can’t get enough of that cute little face with those big beautiful eyes. You are getting sooo big. It is really fun to watch and talk with you and Mom and Dad on Skype. It helps us not being able to see you in person for these months that we’re in Arizona. We can’t wait until you all are here next week. Auntie Erin and Uncle Joe are here now and we are having a good time with them doing hikes on Silly Mountain and going to Spring Training games. Nana Jo and Auntie Erin have also been busy shopping for your soon to come new cousin and finding special things for you for when you are here. Tell Mom to pack your shorts cuz it is in the 70′s here now!! See you in a few short days. Love, Opa Rob
Thanks Josh – it made my day to see your beautiful daughter’s smiling face!! Love, Great Auntie Laurie
OH!!!!! I miss her and you guys live a mile away!!!!! I gotta have a Lauren fix soon!!!
Lauren,
We miss you and are looking forward to seeing you and Mom and Dad soon. Your Mom and Dad are such great cooks, I can see why you prefer “people” food now. It’s hard to believe that you were just a tiny little baby several months ago and now you are feeding yourself and starting to explore your little world:) The fun will begin. And already such a little hockey fan! Can’t wait to see your smiling little face. See you soon, Love Nana Jo
Steph, Josh, and Lauren,
It was so much fun seeing you, Lauren. Love the pictures, Josh. Lauren was a great Graafton Spoiler fan! Now, they’re off to state Basketball in Fargo. Wish you were there to cheer them on, too!! Have a great time down south!!
Love you lots!! Dave and Carol
I just love those big eyes! I think she really is one of the most beautiful babies I have ever seen. Have fun in AZ, I know that you are being anxiously awaited :)
