I had a surprise visit from my family a couple of weeks ago- it was a total shock to come home from work and find them all there waiting! I was pretty emotional at first, but after they assured me that it was just a fun surprise, I was able to relax and calm down (Read the Rest…)

Lauren says “I do it!” only about a hundred times a day. And when she wants to do it, whatever it is, she does not want our help! This usually means whatever we are doing will take 10 times as long, which can be a problem as we try to rush out of the house (Read the Rest…)

Oh my gosh, she is such a big girl! :) When did she become a “toddler”??? We can’t wait to see you in a month, it has been way too long.
We spent a wonderful week in Arizona visiting Rob, Joanne and extended family! It was a treat to get away from the cold weather for a while and we had some fun outings while we were there. Yea! I had been so anxious to see how big Lauren is getting! I can’t believe how long her hair is getting. Looks like you all had lots of fun with Nana and Opa.
This past month has been pretty quiet and uneventful so we’ve been tucked in at home staying warm! The weather was really nice over the weekend, but Lauren has a terrible cold/cough so unfortunately we weren’t outside enjoying it. Wow, I just realized we haven’t posted in a month! The last few weeks have been busy, starting with Josh and I traveling to Boulder, CO, for a family friend’s wedding. It’s been a while since our last post because there hasn’t been too much to report! We’ve had a lot of down time in the past month which has been really nice. We recently spent a week visiting my brothers in Oregon. My parents went, too, and we all had a great time together! We stayed busy in Portland, taking in some of the area sights and spending time with Jeff and Jon’s friends. Lauren is so close to walking- maybe she’ll wait and take those first steps on her birthday! Her new favorite thing to do is pull all of the clothes and towels out of her dresser drawers. It’s great to finally be able to get out and enjoy some warm spring weather! Josh repaired our swing set in the backyard and hung a baby swing for Lauren- she loves it! She’s also has fun playing in the grass and getting dirty… I think baths will have to become more frequent now! We (Read the Rest…)
