Thanks to Bumpa Hall, I had the chance to sneak out to Hazeltine on Monday morning and watch the first practice round of the PGA Championship. After spending an extra 15 minutes on the shuttle to the course thanks to a driver that didn’t know how to get there, I was immediately surprised to see (Read the Rest…)

We spent the 4th of July in Park River, ND, and had a great day with the Halls. My cousin Bjorn, his wife Sveta and their daughter, Bianca, made the trip from the east coast and we got to celebrate Bianca’s 2nd birthday with her! Lauren loved being one of the gang- my cousins’ kids (Read the Rest…)

I had a surprise visit from my family a couple of weeks ago- it was a total shock to come home from work and find them all there waiting! I was pretty emotional at first, but after they assured me that it was just a fun surprise, I was able to relax and calm down (Read the Rest…)

It was just the BEST, wasn’t it?! Lauren. you had your uncles wrapped around your little finger . . . must have been that smile of yours that melts everyone’s hearts!
We treasured every minute of our time with all of you . . . thanks, Josh, for your help in pulling off the surprise! Love, Grandma Mary
Lauren says “I do it!” only about a hundred times a day. And when she wants to do it, whatever it is, she does not want our help! This usually means whatever we are doing will take 10 times as long, which can be a problem as we try to rush out of the house (Read the Rest…)

Oh my gosh, she is such a big girl! :) When did she become a “toddler”??? We can’t wait to see you in a month, it has been way too long.
This past month has been pretty quiet and uneventful so we’ve been tucked in at home staying warm! The weather was really nice over the weekend, but Lauren has a terrible cold/cough so unfortunately we weren’t outside enjoying it. Grandma Mary has been down a couple times and Lauren always loves her visits- and hates (Read the Rest…)

Wow, I just realized we haven’t posted in a month! The last few weeks have been busy, starting with Josh and I traveling to Boulder, CO, for a family friend’s wedding. The weekend was great- Boulder is a cool city and the weather was perfect for walking around Pearl Street. Josh was their photographer for (Read the Rest…)

We had a fun Halloween and although Lauren didn’t really understand trick-or-treating, she sure liked her kitty costume after several dress rehearsals! She didn’t want to wear her costume at daycare, but seeing all of her friends in their costumes must have gotten her excited to wear it for the night. We had our friends, (Read the Rest…)

It’s been a while since our last post because there hasn’t been too much to report! We’ve had a lot of down time in the past month which has been really nice. November and December are looking quite busy already so we’ll enjoy these weekends of rest and relaxation! Josh did get out hunting last (Read the Rest…)

We took advantage of the beautiful day today and went to the MN Zoo! Lauren had a great time looking at all the animals- she especially liked the fish and the prairie dogs. And when she wasn’t checking out the wildlife, she was observing all the kids around her. She also had some fun with (Read the Rest…)

Oh, her pink eye looks so painful! “Weaned” is past tense so all must have gone well or at least been successful in leaving the pacifier behind:) Isn’t is just amazing how much she has grown this year…. Love you all
Lauren is so close to walking- maybe she’ll wait and take those first steps on her birthday! Her new favorite thing to do is pull all of the clothes and towels out of her dresser drawers. She’s also getting a little attitude, which the girls at daycare claim is her way of expressing independence. Lauren (Read the Rest…)

Busy is the word around our house lately! Lauren is moving a lot faster now and is getting into everything… she climbs and crawls over anything in her way and tries to pull herself up on whatever is near. With the nice weather lately, Josh has been taking Lauren rollerblading and although she enjoys the (Read the Rest…)

Well Lauren had quite the first Halloween complete with 2 different outfits. We thought her Butterfly costume might be a little much for a day at school so she went as a cowgirl wearing her cowboy hat from Uncle Jeff and her Boots from Manda. Yee Haw!
