We celebrated Annie’s first birthday a couple weeks ago and had a great time in Fargo with family. It is so fun to watch Lauren and Anne together- they entertained us all with the Busy Ball Popper (which I would highly recommend for a child’s birthday present) and enjoyed playing with Anne’s new Dora kitchen. Lauren had a fun birthday weekend at the lake! Grandma Mary and Bumpa Nick joined us at Keck’s cabin with Opa Rob, Nana Jo, Auntie EJ and Annie. Josh and I had been preparing her all week for the activities of the weekend and it wasn’t long before she was rattling off her guests, her (Read the Rest…)

We spent Memorial weekend at the lake and what a fun weekend it was! The weather was great and we all enjoyed spending time outside in the sun. Lauren and Anne loved playing with the water table on the deck; it was a little too cold to take a dip in the lake so the (Read the Rest…)

We spent a wonderful week in Arizona visiting Rob, Joanne and extended family! It was a treat to get away from the cold weather for a while and we had some fun outings while we were there. Lauren did really well with all of the traveling and schedule changes. She was very happy to spend (Read the Rest…)

We had such a great weekend with you guys! I can’t wait until next year when it will probably be the other way around: Annie needing to follow Lauren where ever she goes!
Lauren is so close to walking- maybe she’ll wait and take those first steps on her birthday! Her new favorite thing to do is pull all of the clothes and towels out of her dresser drawers. She’s also getting a little attitude, which the girls at daycare claim is her way of expressing independence. Lauren (Read the Rest…)

Steph, That is a beautiful picture of Grandma Wanda with you as a baby…..I know you have many wonderful memories of her that you will cherish.
La-La is the little explorer — she’s so interested in EVERYTHING. She has such a serious little expression as she stands by the dresser. It won’t be too many years and she’ll want to help you put things INTO the dresser:) Looking forward to celebrating her first birthday and maybe seeing her take a few solo steps. Love you.
Lauren is going to have a cousin this summer! Joe and Erin shared the news over Christmas that they are expecting a baby in July and we are so excited for them… and Nana Jo is already planning “cousin camp” at the lake :) If you look closely, you can see Lauren’s two bottom teeth- (Read the Rest…)

November has been a busy month so far! We started out by celebrating my birthday and I had a couple of fun nights out with friends. Then Lauren came down with a fever which was pretty tough on Josh and I- the worst were the shots and finger pricks she had to endure at the (Read the Rest…)
